Still, we couldn't help but think the game was going to murder mid-range hardware and even 1080p would be a struggle with a modest graphics card, but we've got to say, it's far better optimized than we were expecting. We first jumped in with an RTX 3090 at 4K and frame rates were decent, not as high as we'd like for competitive gameplay, but they were surprisingly good given the visuals. Visually, Battlefield 2042 is breathtaking and certainly one of the best-looking games we've experienced.
